Environment
At Sievert, we are concerned in many ways with how we can make a positive impact in terms of the environment and sustainability.
The construction and building industry accounts for a significant share of global CO2 emissions. This is therefore one of the biggest levers for more sustainability, on which we as Sievert want to exert a positive influence. Here we are concerned with the following topics:
- CO2 emissions
- Waste generation
- Natural resource
- Emissions
Our measures to reduce the CO2 footprint:
- Increasing energy efficiency
- Heat recovery
- Local production at 19 locations to reduce transport distances
- State-of-the-art plant technology, of which our Rosenau II site is a good example
The German government wants to create a climate-neutral housing stock by 2045. But without new construction and sensible refurbishment of existing properties, the climate protection goals cannot be achieved: 18 percent of the total CO2 emissions in Germany come from the building sector, according to a recent study by the "Arbeitsgemeinschaft für zeitgemäßes Bauen" (ARGE). We make our contribution to climate-friendly living:
- Modern ETICS and insulation materials
- Mineral facade systems
- System solutions for energy-efficient refurbishment
- Conservation and refurbishment
